Srila Prabhupad’s house

When you visit the Krishna Balaram Mandir, you will find behind the temple a small residence, the home of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.  Srila Prabhupada visited this house regularly during the years 1975 through 1977. We invite you to walk in and you will immediately experience a spiritual atmosphere as you meet Srila Prabhupada in the same room he gave darshan to hundreds of persons, political heads of state, famous singers and artists, and businessmen as well as people from around the world,  and where he wrote his Bhaktivedanta Purports to his many books.

You can see the beautiful, exquisite garden, a glimpse of Vaikuntha, where he rested and chanted his mala, and see the many displays of his precious paraphernalia such as his personal harmonium and mrdanga, his palanquin and many other items. Sit and chant a little and meditate on the world traveler who was India’s Ambassador to the World. As you leave you may take a book to further understand Srila Prabhupada and the ancient Vedic philosophy he endeavored so hard to give to the conditioned souls of this world.
